I've an extended SCSI chain on my 7300 (Powerlogix 350Mhz/G4 - 224Mb) which
gives no trouble at all but have tried several different PCI USB cards (with
Apple USB 1.4.1 Support) with no success at all. I primarily wanted a USB
connection to give me an extended printer choice but have had to fall back
on PowerPrint via the printer port (which, in fact, works very well). What I
do lack are the extended options available via USB. Some do work (cartridge
level checks for instance) but, when trying to print a test page, it will
invariably stop before completion with an error box asking me to check the
connection. I've tried both of the USB outlets and tried the card in all of
the available PCI slots but to no avail. I would like, sometime, to get a
digital camera but am uncertain whether downloading the images would work
via USB.
