Hi Vern, With my older Nortons and 7.6.1, the only way to get the solid colours all togeather in the graph was to use the external "Speed Disk" that Norton recommended creating. Now in Norton 6 I can't get complete "optimization" without using the "Utilities" disk (which I don't have). TechTool 3 does give me a complete Optimization (defrag) if the totally togeather colour graph and data reading "no fragmentation" is accurate indication. Norton 6 will not "wipe unsed space" for me either, for some reason? I think your discrepancies may be due to the fact that you have a partitioned HD and THAT. . . I have no experience with.
