Take the L2 cache out. Use the software you've got for the processor to set the cache 
to the maximum speed where it doesn't flake out. This may take some experimentation. 
If you don't have this software get it. XLR8's is excellent, if you can find a copy. 
It's out there.

I don't know what OS you're using. 8.6 or 9.1 are both good, depending on what you 
want to do.

Put a faster SCSI hard drive and controller card in, max out the RAM to 1GB, loose VM, 
put a Radeon 7000 in.

You can upgrade the processor too.
