I have 2 19" SuperMacs (which made their way out to NZ courtesy of 
Jim Arnott). To run these on a 9600 I had to get a Griffin adaptor. 
This was a sloppily-molded blob of plastic with connectors on each 
end and a set of switches on one side. Cost me about $40US. The 
instructions were easy, referring to sync-on-green monitors in 
particular. No aftermarket video card was needed (the standard 9600 
TwinTurbo worked fine).
