You go Steve!
Great analogy.  I think your way of thinking is a
lot closer to reality than Bruce's rant.  Apple
would not be dumb enough to work on porting their
OS to Intel if the OS had no chance of being supported by the
developer community.
For the same reason that the iPod now comes in Windows
flavor, so will the Mac OS XI or XII someday run
on Intel hardware.
