The rest of the screen to the right, which contains the window accessed by the menu bar, remains blank. I've had no problems with anyone viewing my site with any earlier version of NS nor I.E. since I put it up many years ago. It uses older and very simple frame programing for the reason that I wanted anyone to be able to open it quickly. (I'd appreciate it if someone would look at my site using 6 or 7 and see if they have the same problem. http://dallenmarket.bizhosting.com ) I'd hate to have to redo my (and many of my customers') sites because NS decided it was obsolete
technology! >> Just as a comparison and for your information AOL's embedded Gecko browser (AOL for OS X v10.2.1) does not load the main window of your index page. The frames to the left are OK. I suspect the problem lies with this particular version of AOL and the Gecko browser more than anything else. I'm using a 28.8k dial-up on an 7300/200 running OS 10.1.5. The body page just gets lost in all the pop up ads (about 5 or 6, I lost count) and remains blank, even after a reload. However if I use IE 5.1.2 with the same system (with a different ISP), your page loads quickly (even at 28.8) without problems and only one or two of pop-ups. For more info in Gecko: http://devedge.netscape.com/central/gecko "Netscape Gecko is a standards-based embedded browser engine embedded in Netscape 7, Mozilla, Compuserve 7 and AOL for Mac OS X." According to the site above. My 6100/G3 300 with 56k dial-up loads your site OK with AOL 5.0 which I believe uses some earlier version IE as an embedded browser and with Netscape 4.8 with my other ISP. --glen (digest mode) -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
