Lately I have been unable to access certain web sites. For instance, I get a message saying, "Andante.com is no longer compatible with Netscape versions lower than 6.0."
I use Netscape 4.78 with OS 8.6 on my 7300>G3-400, which seems quite good enough for me and seldom crashes or causes other trouble. The Netscape version currently available for free download is 7.0. I am hesitant to download and use it if it will cause the sort of problems I have often experienced with similar upgrades. (I don't mean to appear as though I'm purposely sabotaging the industry's carefully crafted marketing strategy.) I will appreciate any advice offered, particularly if it's based on experience with Netscape 4.78 vs 7.0. --Art. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
