Hmm. A quick search found 64 MB 72-pin EDO SIMMs for as low as $14, 
each. For example:

The lowest I see for 128 MB 72-pin is $274, each. Where would you find 
them for a reasonable price? (You would agree that putting $548 in a 
6100 series machine would be absurd, yes?)
