There is a chance that the heads do seem to stick and the
drive does not spin up. You can try to under power, with the
drive square to the floor, give it a fast twist of the wrist to
see if it will fire up or I have on occasion with only the
power cable connected and the system booted, tapped
the drive down lightly and squarely on its bottom. Both of
these on a very rare occasion do work, but if that's the
case, the drive is still going bad and should be replaced.
