I don't know what that might be related to, but from here I would suggest one of two things. 1) Download a version of Mac OS that you can install onto the hard drive. System 7.5 is available from <http://www.info.apple.com/support/oldersoftwarelist.html>. The installer has the words "System_7.5_Net_Install" or something like that. This will install an OS with drivers for your CD-ROM and built-in ethernet for that machine. 2) Find a copy of an Apple install CD that will work on the 7600.
