Anyone have an explanation for this?

I started off my first PCI PowerMac with a 7300/200, and an external (SCSI) Zip
Drive. Over the years, I added a SCSI Umax Scanner, then a SCSI CDR, then a
SCSI hard drive. I have also from time to time added my Powerbook 540c on in
SCSI disk mode. I have had numerous configurations of all these devices, and
currently I have the Zip, Scanner and hard drive on the SCSI chain.

The question is this: Why have I never terminated any device, nor did I own a
terminator until a couple years ago? I have often tested Murphy's Law by
proclaiming this fact to computer-savvy friends, and still have never had a
problem with the chain.
