Anybody out there with this famous click of death

Very interesting. I have 4 zip drives. I have not kept track of which power brick came with which drive, and I wonder if the specs are different for any of them. One of the Zip drives was an Epson brand. One Iomega drive suffered the click of death.

I've gone through Zip disks at an alarming rate. Ten times the failure rate of floppies. I have a couple of dozen new Zip disks that I am afraid to use in any of the drives.
