I'm getting closer to understanding what would serve my needs best but I'm still not sure about the merits of an 8MB buffer vs a 2MB buffer HD as it would pretain to a 7600 [soon to be]/G4 with an ATA 66 [or higher] IDE controller card. Also, what's the best deal out there on the controllers? I keep reading about pc cards that can be/ have been flashed to work on Macs.
