The Tempo card is seen by ASP as a SCSI card. SCSI Probe and ASP call it SCSI bus 2. I wonder if your Adaptec and the Tempo Trio are claiming the same bus.
When I boot under 9.0.4, SCSIprobe shows 4 SCSI buses numbered 0-3: Apple Internal Apple External Adaptec 2930U UltraATA133 so that at least it all works as expected under 9.0.4. I don't know why its not working under 9.1. Does anyone know of any incompatibilies between the Tempo and some 9.1 extension (either Apple or 3rd party since my system is quite large and complex)?
I would suggest checking if there is a firmware update for the Adaptec card. Also, as a test, try pulling the Adaptec card and booting from 9.1 and see what happens. Another thing would be two swap the locations of the Adaptec and Trio cards in the computer. I would also suggest asking Sonnet if they know of a conflict between the Adaptec and Trio cards. Finally, what driver software are you using for the external SCSI drives, and is there an update for it for OS 9.1?
