If you dislike the idea of simply buying a 7600 (or the like) to upgrade, and balk at buying a newer G3 computer, you can do what I did: take out the 7200 mobo completely and put in a 7600 9or similar) motherboard. I have a nice xlr8 carrier and zif on my 7200/7600 computer, and it hums along pretty nicely.
But I haven't put (nor do I intend to put) OS X on it. If I wanted OS X, I'd scrounge for a G4 of some sort - and something with a faster bus speed than any of these old ADB Macs. But that's just my opinion..... (I have severe budget and cash flow issues, so a new computer is out. One nice thing about the upgrade path I suggest (starting with a 7600 mobo and a nice matched pair of 128MB RAM) is that, from your (and, formerly, my) position(s), it is possible to invest in spurts, when the money comes. The trouble with the mobo switch idea is that a replacement mobo can cost almost as much as a new 7600! But things may vary in price outside the U.S.... timo -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
