I tried 9.2.2 on my FrankenMac but quite honestly could see little if any improvement; in fact, the sound was was all screwed up under 9.2.2. I had no control over external speakers and could not play audio CDs. OS 9.2.1 gave back control over speakers but no CD audio So it was back to 9.1. I may try 9.2.2 again if I decide to upgrade the processor and/or try OS X, but for now, 9.1 is where I'm staying.

I have heard that it is possible to install the latest ATI drivers and the latest version of OpenGL under 9.1 so that you can use the new Radeon cards, but I have no experience with this. Although it is something I'd like to try myself, as I also need to upgrade my monitor.
