At least you can get iTunes to work on your machines. My upgraded PM 9500 G4 800mhz crashes when I try to import songs in iTunes 2.04. Does anyone have an idea what might be my problem?

What do you mean by "import"?

You might want to try some of the other MP3 players for the Mac Classic OS environment:

SoundJam MP
MacAmp <http://www.macamp.com/macamp.html>
Macast <http://icm.allmacintosh.com/preview/206580.html>
MusicMatch <http://icm.allmacintosh.com/preview/204005.html>

SoundJam MP was bought by Apple and is the framework for iTunes.

While no longer legitimately available, a request on the alt.binaries.mac.applications.retro newsgroup will likely prove fruitful.

I've a legit version of SoundJam MP, 2.5.3, the last release/upgrade. It's my player/encoder of choice. I've no idea how it, or any of the other players will work with an iPod, as I don't yet have an iPod, FireWire ports and I'm still running OS 8.6.
