Aha! I was a'feared of that. Ok, I'll have to adjust things accordingly. Geez, no wonder it's running a little warm.
----------------
I personally don't think the stock door fan on the 9600 is adequate once you have begun to upgrade. The fan I upgrade to is a 120mm Sunon KD1212PTB1-6A. DC 12V, 5.4Watt. I got this 6 amp Sunon fan from One Cool PC http://www.1coolpc.com/ I don't know if they still carry it, but if not, the YS-TECH 120x120x38mm 4 Wire 131.5cfm ball bearing fan that they carry should work.
This fan plugs into one of the power connectors from the power supply. Don't plug these larger fans into the motherboard.

You will also want to put a fan guard over the fan to keep wires from getting into it. Found at:
http://www.provantage.com/buy-7ANTA00C-antec-accessories-120mm-fan-guard-chromed-wire-formed-grill-2-each-10-packs-20-shopping.htm

Another good source for fans is:

        And also:
        http://www.cablesnmor.com/cpufan.html#system

Be aware that adding this larger fan increases the noise level.

You can mount two hard drives on the black plastic floorplate in the 9600 (Remove the two screws that hold the floorplate in place, take out the floorplate, and it has holes so you can mount two hard drives on it. In addition, I drill holes in the bottom of the case and mount one more hard drive at the bottom front alongside the floorplate. However, it's a tight fit, and if you choose to do this you will also have to make an additional internal cooling fan installation to move air to the bottom front of the case.

I prefer to use my 9600 front bays for CD burners and Zip drives. In the one 9600 where I have a hard drive in a front bay (I always use Quantum Atlas 10k SCSI drives to run the 9600 from) I have the hard drive mounted in a bay cooling system that draws air in the front of the bay and over the hard drive. Ifyou should go this route, get a good bay cooler. Don't use one of the cheap ones. Here is the one I use:

If you should decide to add the large 110 Volt fan to the outside of the 9600 case (Which might be overkill for you, but is essential to my "loaded up" 9600's), the Turbo Cool 2X is my favorite fan. I have it on all my 9600's and routinely install it on 9600's for customers. See it at:
