Oops my mistake.  I misread your model # (the old eyes just aren't the same
as they used to be =P).  Yeah, the 5400 doesn't really have an extra area
for a second hard drive unless you remove the CD-ROM and use it's drive bay.
You can also go for an external drive.

It looks like though you'll have to partition your 5GB drive.  Create 2
partitions - the first being HFS (do not use HFS+) and the second should be
unallocated.  The first partition, which will be HFS formatted, only needs
to be about 1GB since you are going to only use it for a minimum Mac OS
installation.  The unallocated partition will be used for YDL.
