i don't *really* need 100mbit networking on the 
Mac as i can't really play quake 3 or anything 
like that on it. but if i find one i'll give it a 
go - anything to clear up that silly MAC address 
problem. Do other people using PCI NICs in their 
Macs have the same problem?

Why don't you get an RTL 8139? They're like �5 
($9?) and I don�t know about
the US but they flow like water here. Every 
computer shop sells them
practically. The driver works brilliantly on Mac 
and has worked in my 4400,
5500 and 6500 no probs.
