I started using Intel pc's since dos 3.3 was out and understood how to work on the hardware and fix software problems just from tinkering around with my machine(s), and no I don't have a computer science degree and have never had to have somebody else service my machines. The problem most people have is that they get used to how a particular architecture works with their hardware and software over a period of time and jumping to a different platform causes them trouble because they have to learn new skills. Win nt4 is very easy to setup, I have a Pentium machine running it just for kicks. To me it sounded like your problems were more about getting nt4 running on a pc accelerator running inside of a Mac, which isn't that common and would give IT guys headaches because their OS manuals don't cover stuff like that. Even a Mac setup can be a pain in the ass to get running sometimes, especially video capture setups that will only run on a small range of OS's and need specific versions of QT, patches of drivers, and other software on a clean machine. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
