Hi folks,
Anyone know or know how to find out if a PCI Mac can run imovie 1? I've never used it but a friend needs a simple system to work with imovie. She is taking a class and has a Mac at school but wants to work with imovie at home too. Does she need firewire if she is not getting the data from a camera but rather from another Mac? Could she use ethernet instead? One PDF I've seen says imovie can run on OS 8.6 but must run on a G3 at least 300MHZ. Anyone know or have experience to the contrary?
TIA
Anand
A PCI Mac can run iMovie 2 without a problem - I run it here on an 8500 FrankenMac and on my 6500/250. OS 9 only though - 8.6 won't run iMovie 2 IIRC.
iMovie 1 should not be a problem for any of the PCI Macs.
