Hi folks,

Anyone know or know how to find out if a PCI Mac can run imovie
1? Anand

A PCI Mac can run iMovie 2 without a problem - I run it here on an 8500 FrankenMac and on my 6500/250. OS 9 only though - 8.6 won't run iMovie 2 IIRC.

iMovie 1 should not be a problem for any of the PCI Macs.

I never succeeded either with 8.6 or 9.0.4 but I did not persist. One must
persist with these things. The installer simply would not accept my machine
(7600 with G3/4) No Firewire card but...

Mike: if you would be so kind as to explain the details of your set up,
exact details, system, cards, machine.

Anyone else on a 7300 or 7600 on 8.6 or 9.0.4 with a G3 upgrade card
(especially either an XLR-8 about 350 or PowerLogic about 400 MHz) with
imovie working fine? (Please no simple "mine works fine..." This just hurts
me! Talk! Tell me the details. Tell me everything!)

And could one dare dream of running a " Super Drive " off one of these boxes.
This is the Question I've been asking for months.
No one has stepped forward on this. Perhaps the small bus is just too much
of a bottleneck ?
