Muddled Mac mangler seeks solutions from learned listers:

1. What's the best way to stick those little black rubber feet back on the
bottom of the PowerMac (models 7200 to 9600) case?

2. What's a good glue to repair the black plastic leg that supports the
power supply/drive bay when it is opened out for maintenance (models 7200
and 7300), or bits of brittle beige plastic that snap of aging PowerMac
cases?

3. Twinturbo 128 video card in 9600 shows vertical lines on display.
(Attempt to re-solder vram chips on board succeeded temporarily; Rube
Goldberg fix works now with bracket made from spectacle handle between
bottom drive bay and video card putting tension on board.) What is a
permanent fix?
(apart from buying a new card - what is the name of the store in Sydney,
Australia mentioned as a good source by David Elmo in a post a few months
ago)?

4. 2 Multiple Scan 15 displays have following problems:
a) weak picture and poor brightness
b) poor focus.
A TV trouble-shooting guide recommends re a): rejuvenate picture tube; re
b): replace tube or verify focus voltage at grid.
Anybody know how to do either?

5. The picture on a Multiple Scan 20 monitor suddenly faded away (no smoke,
crackles or other violent electrical action) after 7 years regular service.
Is there any chance of repair?

6. An unidentified (probably for wintel) PCI IDE card shows up in Apple
system profiler (on same 9600/200) giving a manufacturer number and a model
number.
a) Does this mean that the card will operate correctly in a Mac?
b) How does one translate the manufacturer number into a company name (thus
enabling a search for drivers, etc.)?

7. Anybody heard from Derf since he got that new job in December?

8. Question for B Bonzai: If I never go anywhere, am I still there?

- TIA from Angus
