Yes, absolutely. First, do you still have high voltage? (Does the monitor's yellow "standby" light change to green when you've successfully booted the Mac that it's connected to? And does static electricity build up on the glass of the CRT when it's in use?) Next, can you describe exactly what the picture looked like as it "faded away"? For example: did the image appear to "melt" or collape off to one side of the screen and then vanish? > 6.
