Whatever you use roughen the metal in the foot area before gluing.

Might help but if it's not wanting to stick to metal, it's not going to stick whatever you do...


A countersunk sheet metal screw is a sure fix.


It's made of ABS, which is stupid because it's prone to snapping like that. However Apple make all their case plastics out of moulded ABS so it made economic sense I suppose!




Auto body shops have welders for ABS . Many auto parts are made from it. And some of these parts are hard to find or not available at all. So they must be welded with plastic rod.. ( Just all melted back together ) Too bad it's not HDPE.

I like the steel plate idea. It's very " Monster Garage ". Wood might also work. Both opportunities for some very creative hardware hacking.
Gee, I wonder if I can get a power lift under the tray on my 7200 hybrid . Whoa ! Sweet !
