Actually, I better give more advice to you Angus. I worry about this gluing
attempt of yours: I always use long drying epoxy resin (Araldite) for
similar though plastic glues are probably better if you know what kind of
plastic etc... But better still is to get a welder out and flame the joint
(fixed a toilet plastic arm that holds the float this way ... you should not
ask but it got burnt from a candle burning right through setting all on
fire). But there's even better:

The 7300 has 2 plastic thingies, one is a little pathetic thin rest arm
(often black) that stops the opened case falling in, the other something
more robust and squarish that stops the opened falling out. (Bet it is the
former that broke). Throw it out and don't rely on it either when new or
repaired, if it breaks when in operation, you can damage the computer. Make
a metal one instead if you must have such a fitting. I never rely on it and
never repair my broken ones.

And of course you are still where you never leave no matter what B Bonzai
thinks.
