Hmmm. Well, I don't have AppleWorks, only the Claris 4, but maybe I should have a look inside my Extensions Manager?
I would try with moving the claris folder out of the systemfolder and install claris 4 again, creating a new claris folder that way,
I doubt that claris puts anything in the extension folder.
