maybe you need to trash the xtend list in the preference folder.
claris 5.0 works great with 9.1 at ours, I just installed it fresh,
and not just copying it from the old system and that made an
H of a change.>

Hmmm. Well, I guess I owe you (and all the listers) an apology here for
not specifying the version of ClarisWorks I'm using -- it's 4.0, not 5.0.

Anyway -- when I discovered the problem, one of the first things I did
was reinstall it fresh from the CD ROM onto my HD which has the OS 9.1 on
it -- so to my knowledge nothing should be missing or corrupted. The
reinstall forced me to have to fix my dictionary and thesaurus settings,
and since my Claris Emailer is also on that same CD, it "messed" with
that too and I had to re-enter my preferences, but didn't do anything
about the "Save As" problem.

OK, so tell me, what does the "xtend" list in the preference folder do? I
want to know this before I start trashing it.
