I too was very disappointed using iTunes 2.0.4 and OS 9.1.
I guess our money just ain't no good to 'em. Maybe some of the mp3 sellers but I can't get anyone to recommend one one that won't try to windofy my hard drive. They keep putting new start pages on my buddie's PC lapper.
I was ready to buy too.
Apple's loss . Too bad .
