But, if the person DOES NOT HAVE ETHERNET in their 6500 (which they must not, 
otherwise they would not have the data transfer problem, right?), and they 
have an external CD-R, then it is better than having to buy something for a 
computer they evidently do not want to use anymore...!

And how do you know how much stuff they have to transfer? And let's not even 
bring up CD-RWs...

Look, I'm gonna let you have it; you win. BUT "IMHO" you need to kinda check 
out the initial post next time...
