If it is 233 MHz or slower, then it will have a conventional processor card and soldered cache on the motherboard. If it is 250 MHz or faster, then it will have a Mach5 processor card, and the cache will be on that card, hence no cache on the motherboard. The 9500 (all) an 9600 (all non-Mach5) are the ones with soldered cache. The motherboard cache, if present, is 512 kB and consists of four large, square chips (cache data), and two small, dual-inline chips (cache "tag").
