[ * ] Note that the 8600 motherboard uses the same form factor as the earlier
desktop motherboards. Therefore, it is possible to install an 8600
motherboard into a 7500 case, say. However, the 8600 and 9600 use a different powering
scheme, so a 7300 power supply will be required in place of the, say, 7500
power supply.

you also have to find a way to prolongue the lever for the case power on button, but that of course is a minor
problem, I tried that - )
