Since asking here and on the LEM SWAP List I've been getting offers of some really
nice 8600 & 9600 machines. I bought a more or less stock 9600/233 (96 MB RAM, 4 Gig
HD) on eBay about six hours ago for just under $60.00 US. No charge for shipping since
the source is less than five miles from where I live.

I had what I thought was a solid line on a preferable 9600/300 in Texas from a SWAP
Lister for $160.00 US (including postage) that had more RAM (720 Megs)and USB & SCSI
PCI cards but he stopped answering my emails so I jumped on the 9600/233. I live in
Canada and was definitely NOT thrilled about having any Mac of mine put through the
wringer by Posties and inspectors. There are always extra charges on top of the
negotiated price for taxes and inspection fees even if no actual duty is payable.

Its always nice to get a new toy. I'm giving away a truly nice 7300 to someone who can
really use it in order to free up some desktop space for the 9600.
