I know it's not technically a Mac, but Power Computing's PowerTower Pro is an
excellent 9500/9600 clone with a case that's easy to work in, if not quite as easy as
that of the 9600. I've been using mine for years and have upgraded it with a Sonnet
G3/450 card and an ATA/66 card (with 2 attached ATA drives) with no problems.

What a coincidence.

My opinion of the PT Pro is very similar to your and just after I bought the 9600 on eBay last night for $59.00 US I searched for some other stuff and found a PowerComputing Power Tower Pro 225 going for just UNDER $20.00 that I would be VERY pleased to have bidded on.

RATS !!!

My main macs right now are a 1 GHz G4 iBook and a Daystar Genesis MP 800+ with the Sonnet ATA card, Sonnet G4 800, 1.5 gigs of RAM, Radeon 7000, OrangeMicro FireWire/USB, etc.
