Oh please. Apple saw the writing on the wall yet again, which is that the processors it is using were falling behind yet again. Why stick with some company, IBM, when they can't deliver the goods. Steve promised 3 Gigahertz G5s over two years ago. Where are they???? MIA.

The position they are in now is great. They have a working version of OS X on Intel chips. I'm looking forward to great chips and designs from Intel and Apple

Despite recent denials of Macs with Intel inside we now are told they will be so.

Is this the end of a " Think Different " Era?

I suppose it won't effect our old Macs much. But i was looking forward to a G5 or G6 even in the future for myself. Even it the OS is dual ported as is said I don't see how things will ever be the same. Again another go-around with hacks to make old software work with new systems etc. And
What MAY be inevitable vulnerabilities.

The newspaper implied the G5 is a dead end.

Steve, how could you?
