It can be done! and if a third party card from a clone is used? there
are some that go up to 250mhz and they can be used in the 7500
macs!!!!
you are thinking of the Mach V 250 and above cards . These will only
work in the later 8600/9600 slots.
I Know from experience that there are 233mhz cards that work fine as i
sold a few last year on ebay! and took them from Macs around the home
in working condition.
