Clint, I have read reviews and talked to other people, and Take Two is NOT rated that great of a program.
In fact, what I find VERY interesting these days is CD burners and the software they include. Used to be that ALL the CD burner manufacturers included Adaptec's EZ CD Creator and Direct CD programs with the burner to give you something to create CDs. However, I have noticed in the last year or so that hardly any company is still supplying Adaptec/Roxio's software anymore with the new burners. Most of the time, I am seeing Nero, NTI, and several other programs, as becoming the standard to include now. The time points back to when Adaptec started including Take Two in the package, and it seems that there has been problems ever since. Unlike other system backup programs which are aimed at doing that, such as Veritas, NTI, and others, which are aimed especially doing backups (Veritas finally decided to go the other way, and now has Stomp, Inc their distributor of not only their personal backup software but also making CD copies, as well as music and data CDs.), Take Two has never had a great reputation for system backup software. So a LOT seems to be involved with this issue. So I think it boils down to uninstalling Take Two off your system, if you have it installed, and install a good backup package, such as Veritas/Stomp, NTI, or a similar program. By the way, NTI now a deluxe backup that lets you backup systems in 95, 98, ME, 2K, and XP. And found the other day a commerical company, which I have the URL of at work, and I am writing this at home, which produces software to make CDs not only in Windows but in Dos as well. This is the first time that I can recall that I have seen a commercial package to produce CDs of all kinds in a Dos environment, including system backups. It does not seem to do compression of the data, but I could be wrong on that. And I think, if I am not mistaken, to properly handling the long file name issue of windows file names - meaing it can save not just the file with the 8.3 file name but the windows long file name as well, so if restored, windows can work properly.
