Hi All, I recently committed to 2 years of Earthlink, which I was already using, for a $200 rebate on a digital camera. I had been satisfied with Earthlink before, but now I have thoughts of tossing my computer out the window... With the CD, I "upgraded" to Earthlink 5.0, and here is where the problems have started.. The connection lasts about 60-90 seconds, it always disconnects when my email finishes downloading, it keeps changing my start page to "globesearch.com", which I have never even visited, etc. (This happens when I turn the computer off and later turn it back on..) I also changed my 'identity' from nestingplace to barngoddessnc, which periodically a window will pop up saying an error has occurred saying nestingplace can't be logged onto. I want to completely delete that identity from the computer.
Can someone here please go through all steps for me to eliminate these problems? I would really appreciate your help. What I have done to set my preferences doesn't stay set.
