Same here, Hugh.....I don't usually want new browser windows as I open
so many, my taskbar would be too full.....but, I went to IE6 and
unchecked the "reuse windows for shortcuts" option and then I DO get
multiple windows when I click on links in Outlook 2002 (Windows XP Pro)

Subject: RE: PCWorks: Internet Explorer 6.0 problem

I've been following this thread, and got curious. Like someone else, I
have
never seen any reason to open multiple windows from Outlook or OE, but
this
procedure worked fine for me with Windows XP and IE 6.0.
((6.00.2600.0000
(xpclient.010817-1148)) to be exact. The tip offered with the check box
makes it clear that this switch is designed to open multiple windows in
"Internet aware" apps such as OE.
My XP and OE versions are completely up to date, and the XP was a clean
install. My Outlook 2000 behaves the same way-multiple clicks open a new
window when the box is unchecked. There is no need to hold any
additional
keys down.
