I've been following this thread, and got curious. Like someone else, I have never seen any reason to open multiple windows from Outlook or OE, but this procedure worked fine for me with Windows XP and IE 6.0. ((6.00.2600.0000 (xpclient.010817-1148)) to be exact. The tip offered with the check box makes it clear that this switch is designed to open multiple windows in "Internet aware" apps such as OE. My XP and OE versions are completely up to date, and the XP was a clean install. My Outlook 2000 behaves the same way-multiple clicks open a new window when the box is unchecked. There is no need to hold any additional keys down. **************************************************************************** ************************************************
Correct, that area "Reuse windows on launching shortcuts" has nothing to do with OE in IE 5.5 & 6. That's one of the first mod's I do to win98 when I reformat or install it, but it's only for typing in URL's in the address bar, or clicking favorites, URL shortcuts on the desktop, etc. It has never had any bearing on OE in any case that I personally have seen. ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
