<<I wonder if ME has this problem??>> Who knows? And you certainly don't want to know, Clint, cuz ME has too many other problems
Are you seriously saying you abandoned 2k and XP for 98 just cuz you can't open browser windows separately from a link in OE? Why don't you do yourself a favor and use 2k or XP and Outlook or some other email program? It seems a little counter productive to me to ignore two really good OSs for one kinda crappy email program But that's just my opinion....and you know I have LOTS of them, my friend *wink* ***************** And Jeff....did you try Ieradicator yet? ***************** Linda Publisher ~ ABC ~ All 'Bout Computers Owner ~ Linda's Computer Stop http://personal-computer-tutor.com/main.htm Author/Teacher ~ MS Office EBooks/Classes http://personal-computer-tutor.com/services.htm -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] -Clint Hamilton Sent: Sunday, May 19, 2002 1:23 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: PCWorks: Internet Explorer 6.0 problem Correct, that area "Reuse windows on launching shortcuts" has nothing to do with OE in IE 5.5 & 6. That's one of the first mod's I do to win98 when I reformat or install it, but it's only for typing in URL's in the address bar, or clicking favorites, URL shortcuts on the desktop, etc. It has never had any bearing on OE in any case that I personally have seen. If this DOES work for anyone on 98 and IE 5.5 or 6, it could have something to do with the patches/security updates that are installed. But I CAN say that every win98 PC (AND Win2K PC) that used IE 5.5 or IE 6, that method has never worked for multiple browser windows from OE. NOTHING I have tried has ever worked to fix it. I check this feature BEFORE any updates or patches are installed, and afterwards. This is one of the reasons I had to quit using win2k. And since it appears that XP is still plagued with this problem, I guess I'm stuck with win98.
