Thanks for the ME warning. >>All I was saying is it seems strange to me that someone would choose >>their operating system, based on how well their email program/browser >>performs on it.....
Because email and the internet is how I make a living. ;-) If they do not operate "efficiently and intelligently", that is burden for my productivity therefore business. :) IE 5.5 & 6 just does not operate "efficiently and intelligently", (and I'm sure many can say "what is so intelligent about ANY M$ product!! LOL!!) -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Johnson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> This is weird. I've never actually tried this shift/click link thing so I really don't know how it's supposed to work in older OSs ...but I just followed Clint's instructions below....clicked his first link and up came my browser, then I shift/clicked his second link and I got a browse dialog box that said "Locate Link Browser" (kinda like shift/right clicking to get the "open with" dialog box)....I'm using Windows XP Pro and Outlook 2002 So, since I use multiple browsers on my machine (just to check my site in different ones....my browser of choice is Opera), I just learned a new trick to be able to choose the browser I want....thanks LOL And to answer Clint's questions about Windows Me problems....I really don't have the time to research that one right now, to show you all the different problems people have had with it....I can only tell you I tried Me on one of my machines and it lasted 4 days cuz I really did not like it....a total resource hog and more blue screens than I ever saw with 98 or 95.....and I know I've read articles where even Microsoft admits Me was a big mistake.....and now, with XP as an alternative, I can't imagine why anyone would choose Me....you're better off with 98...but, like I said before, this is JUST my opinion All I was saying is it seems strange to me that someone would choose their operating system, based on how well their email program/browser performs on it.....I would think you would choose your email/browser, based on how well it performs on the operating system of your choice Linda -----Original Message----- [EMAIL PROTECTED] -Clint Hamilton But was CNN opened FROM WITHIN Outlook Express? You must try to open MORE than ONE link from WITHIN OE. When you see this post, click my URL, then while holding the shift key down, click the other URL below it and then see if you get TWO SEPARATE browser windows. :) Thanks, -Clint http://OrpheusComputing.com http://tech-assist.org ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
