Hi Glen.. Thanks.. You made me laugh,, Actually, I did feel that maybe I was part of a hidden reality tv show.. LOL..
Things like this just dont' happen.. (but then again, I'm proof that they do).. but I say.. Enough, is enough.. I'm tired of it already.. Dell, "claims". they're going to make good ... Well see.. I DID pay with my credit card.. actually , just got the bill yesterday, and I'm the kind who pays as soon as I get the bill.. Well, this will sit.. for a week, until the new computer is in and up and running.. before I pay the bill..(as much as it bothers me.. LOL).. But I'll wait.. <smile> Meir.... I dont' want to pack up the computer. and have one built.. because I dont' know a shop in the area that I feel I could trust.. I've been living out here for 5 years. and have only seen one or two local independent computer shops.. The rest are Best Buys, LaBelle(and they sell USED).. I've been thru that with them, in the past.. with phones.. They're not trustworthy at all...And of course.. CompUSA. and otheres. but I dont want to buy a system thru them. Actually, I was up all nite, thinking about this.. and while switching channels. I looked at Home Shopping and QVC.. and thought.. Hmmm. but then.. I said, NO.. Dell has a good reputation. they DO make good computers.. I just have had a bad experience, and maybe it'll get better.. (hopefully).. My bil.. who's a Systems Analysist.. Said, Dell makes really good computers.. and thats what he would recommend... My Ex got a Dell. and even a friend, who built his own.. He said.. Go for a Dell,(thats what he advised his sister and myself).. So Dell, has a good reputation.. though,, lately.. I"ve gotten really scre*** by them.. But I'll give them another chance, to make it right.. and if it's not right.. Well, thats it for me.. I've had enough.. Going back to snail mail..OMG.. Only kidding.. LOL.. I can't live without my computer.. LOL On another note.. last nite, I noticed the clock, was a day later, and an hour later..so I called Dell.. to see what happened..cause I know how to change a clock. of course.. but also.. I had lost my floppy drive.(external drive). I went to make a copy of my address book.. and it wasnt' in 'My computer".. Well, sure enough. when they put in a new motherboard.. it's like putting in a new battery in the car.. you have to "configure things again.".. so the Dell tech had me pressing all sorts of letters and numbers..and then go to the Bios(I think) and we fixed it.. He said, that happens when a new motherboard is installed. You have to reset it to the "IDE configurations?? I think thats what it was.. Not even sure.. But for right now.. The computer is working. and I'm waiting for the new tower, and now the new monitor.. So when all is said, and done. I will have a new computer... And hopefully, all this. will be just a 'bad experience'. and I can forget about it.. Sounds like it cant get much worse. > Did you know your'e actually part of a hidden camera, reality tv show? > I'm sure you could think of an appropriate name for it.. > (the show, that is) ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
