I wouldn't say that Helene, it is difficult to troubleshoot hardware over the phone or by email to say the least. I had similar dealings some time ago with clients purchasing eMachine computers (I'm sure many on the list are familiar with them <groan>).
Just before the bad luck you could consider booze, not for yourself mind you, one client accidentally(?) had one large container (might have been the whole bottle or pail) of whisky (or some other fuel) fall into the back of the monitor (it was an all-in-one design like the iMac) and voila they got a new replacement. Fortunately their dealer no longer carried eMachines (whew!), so they got a custom made system. And they have been happy ever since. Peter Kaulback -- I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. Thomas Edison (1847-1931) In the hour of 06:48 AM 10/16/2003, Helene Leavitt spoke this: >Well, the tech was here to install the motherboard, w/video card.. and it was >NOT that.. Its the LCD.. So guess who is now awaiting a new monitor.. The >motherboard is in.. and I dont know whether it's "that" or what.. but the >tower is much noiser than before.. I can't wait to get the new one already.. >cause it's really noisy.. > >I"m so fed up with this.. You know the expression.. If it wasn't for "bad >luck.. I'd have no luck at all".. well, thats how I feel right now.. > > >H E L E N E > >[EMAIL PROTECTED] ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
