Ken, Replying seriously to what was admittedly a comment made with a smiley, I must say that I feel somewhat disappointed that in the current dangerous economic climate, cameramakers have largely stopped showing innovative thinking. In the early days of digital we had some unusual products that showed designers creatively rethinking the possibilities. In the past couple of years, all we've gotten (for the most part) are ordinary point-and-shoots and ordinary 35mm-style SLRs, but with digital sensors in place of film. I'm not sure what the eventual form of the digital camera will take, but of one thing I am certain: it will not be the same form as the 35mm SLR. It just isn't a very flexible application of the new technology. So I am encouraged that the little Optio S shows inventiveness, creativity, and innovation in its design. I'm personally hoping that the same qualities will not be lacking in at least a few of Pentax's upcoming products. --Mike
