"Pro" 35mm lenses (fast, rugged) of all makers are about the same size
and weight, including Pentax's. f 2.8 zoom and telephoto lenses have big
elements and get heavy. In fact, Canon with their diffraction grating
element managed to come up with a much smaller and lighter lens.
Since just about all 645 lenses are pro lenses, then it would be more
accurate to say that pro 35mm and 645 lenses weigh about the same.
