   You may be right, but I hope the manufacturers will keep the best
   from the SLR concept, that is - at least in my view - the
   interchangeable lenses and TTL optical viewfinder. I don't care
   much for the physical shape but I expect these two attributes to
   still define a digital SLR. 

   As for the new technologies, it is reasonable to expect AF based on
   the actual captured image instead of dedicated sensor, as well as
   color sensitive metering embedded in the image sensor. These make
   very much sense in the digital age, and it's only a matter of time
   and mHz before we see it.
