What statistics?  If you're talking in terms of technical knowledge
for everyone who owns a camera, then no, because most cameras are
point'n'shoots with no user control.  If you're talking about SLR
owners, then those with manual cameras *have* to be aware of it, while
those with automatic cameras may or may not be.

For those who want to know about EV as a function of Av, Tv, ASA:

EV=Log2(AV^2/AV)+log2(ASA/100)

make of that what you will. :)  Someone may have an intuitive
knowledge of the relationship but still find the above confusing.

There's another equation for Av, Depth of Field, Hyperfocal distances,
etc, which I don't know by heart but again you can learn a lot by
looking through the viewfinder and stopping down.
