I've been silent. Probably better.
Here's something (hopefully) intelligent:
#1. Fish History
A secret symbol of early Christians to identify themselves as Christian to
oneanother
without being caught.
"Fish" in greek is" iota, chi, theta, upsilon, sigma
It's an acronym for
Iasous (jesus)
Xristos (Christ/Messiah)
Theou (God's)
`uios (Son)
Soterios (Savior)
#2. "Bumper sticker theology", whether of the Christian or atheistic sort
is a generally meaningless and ineffective method of communication.
It's completely inadequate.
I saw a car here in Columbus with both Ichthous and a rainbow!
Talk about two different messages!
#3. I don't think anyone would mind this OT conversation *as much* if the tone
were civil. The intolerances of Christianity are not different in fact
or degree than the intolerances of the atheist against the Christian.
(A seminary in Texas was just fined $120k by the state of Texas for
giving out theological degrees without state permission!)
#4. "Intelligent Design", William Dembski. The best starting point on the
matter of design and creation. Philosophical, Scientific, & Mathematic.
Dembski is a PhD Math and PhD Philosophy, both Univ. of Chicago.
That's all.
***************
"The accumulation of all powers legislative,
executive and judiciary in the same hands . . .
may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny."
--James Madison, Federalist 47
